Cor crowded house - that brings back memories - going to dig out their cd now to reminis. Used to play them constantly when I was a store manager on Oxford Street - the company sent us this cd to play but it had masses of crowded house on that went round and round all day - but found we was all singing along whether you wanted to or not.
Glad you had a great time Sewer.

I'm off to see them tonight In Brighton. One of the best bands in the world.
Poncy?
You've obviously heard about 2 of their songs. They were in a similar pop genre to the Stranglers in the 80s, but Woodface and Together Alone are fantastic albums, with plenty of great tunes you'd recognise.
Perhaps slightly softer than the MiB but the quality of the songs stands up to anyone else.
Beatles comparisons abound, as with another of my favourites, XTC
And half the fun at the gigs is the banter with the audience.
Which is why last nights gig with Messrs Burnel & Warne was so enjoyable.

How dumb is that song?
As Peter Kay once said -
"Can you imagine trying to get that through customs?"

Jonimac had a spare ticket and has persuaded me to go tonight - I'm knackered after The Bolier Room gig yesterday so will be able to have a snooze in Brighon later!doninblack wrote:Crowded House - music to sleep to.
I've got a "best of" cd somewhere but can't find it - but I like Split Enz etc - I'm sure Jon will give me the full geneology in the car!
