Blondie on The Old Grey Whistle Test

Post by Toiler On The Sea »

As there appear to be few Blondie fans on here as well, I saw this.

Sky Channel 271. Mainstreet
Monday 15th October:
10am-11am and 9pm-10pm, Blondie at The Old Grey Whistle Test.
"They don’t come much better than The Stranglers when performing live; there is no pretence, no hiding place, just superb music"

Is this the Glasgow Apollo gig from 1979 or 1980?

Haven't a scooby where it is I'm afraid.
There is no details on either the programme guide or on the Sky listings online.
I'm also unable to locate a web-site for this channel.

I did see on a few other forums that they are prone to showing a different gig from what is advertised though?

"The last song, Sunday Girl is worth seeing as it contains the legendary accompaniment by pipers (as the concert was in Glasgow). Fantastic performance but, the dvd ends mid song for no apparent reason".

I have been after this for years.

A friend had a booty of this years ago. Booty and friend now miles away somewhere in Oz.

If this is the one with the pipers, it was repeated recently on BBC3 (or BBC4) when they showed some of the "Rock Goes to College" repeats. As I recall, it was broadcast on the radio when it was more current.
