Lot of Krautrock here lately; Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Can, Cluster, Neu, -a deep vein to explore.

That's the point where they started dialling down what made them unique and they tried to be more straightforward. A lot of their best work takes a few listens.

I have listened to the first 7 albums so far so I haven't reached Missing Piece yet. I like most of what I have heard. Particularly Three Friends, Octopus and The Power And The Glory. I didn't realize until recently that they were an offshoot of Simon Dupree And The Big Sound who had a hit with Kites.

I didn't realise that either - Kites is a tune!

Also, they did that psychedelic single "We are the Moles" under the name The Moles, which directly inspired "The Mole from the Ministry" by a certain Dukes of Stratosphear...

That's an EP.

Remember in the 90s when bands would release cd singles in 2 digipacs ? 3 extra tracks on each so you'd get an additional 6 songs just off 1 single. Try telling that to kids these days
