I've been rediscovering the '90s recently. Not just all the Britpop and grunge stuff, but all the great hip-hop and techno that came out during that decade. Looking back, it really was an awesome decade for music.

Alpha Centauri - Tangerine Dream

Picked up some nice copies of each on vinyl from a local charity shop, along with some other stuff, and hadn't heard either. The King Crimson one isn't bad actually, apart from some of the singing on the non instrumental songs, whilst the TD one is the usual Dr Who background type stuff with freaky early Kraftwerk flute n organ, if you like that sorta thing, which l do.

I have everything Sugar did and most of Mould's solo albums but I always struggled with Husker Du apart from a few songs like Makes No Sense.

My first reaction to them was wtf is this? I found the whole costume thing absolutely ridiculous but soon as I gave it a chance and listened to the music I was hooked after about 5 mins in.
I rarely hear anything these days which grabs my attention but these guys certainly did.
Yeah I reckon Hugh would really like them.
