I thought that was pretty good. Is that the sort of music Paul is up to these days ? i was a bit surprised as well he suited that style
Yes, quite good album, produced by Tony Visconti. Damon Albarn plays melodica on two or three tracks.

Blackpink

“How You Like That”
“Ddu-du Ddu-du”

Amazing K pop band Ive discovered this year.
Music obviously created for them, like most manufactured groups, but very impressed with the synth and percussive elements.

Standing by for the mocking

The guitar solo is rather nice. I'm not massively into them. Some bits off Aja are pretty good.

The Chameleons - early singles on vinyl eg Fan and the Bellows, Nostalgia etc. Produced by Steve Lilywhite in 1982. What a cracking production! Big JJ influenced bass, perfect drum sound and biting guitars.

Bonus point - you can still see them live and they are brilliant.

I love Joy Division but the Chameleons are the best of Manchester.

Ps Don't dare disagree!

Suede - Autofiction. There best album yet - it proves it can be done after 30 years. Saw them in the 90s and then a few months ago and they were brilliant. So much energy, great playing from all concerned. Electric atmosphere in the packed Albert Hall, Manchester. Off to see PJ Harvey at the same venue- can't wait.

I've been listening to the new Current Affairs LP "Off The Tongue", it's great.
My favourite track is "Get Wrecked". First half is quite a Siouxsie-esque shoutfest but the outro is quite Stranglers-y imo.
Very Cornwell style lead guitar parts in the final section.

If you like that track then also try "Reactor", "Her Own Private Multiverse" and "Casual Radicals".
