Yeah I`ve got that snub performance somewhere - I know what you mean - It shows them wandering around their hometown in Wales as well. Looks a really boring place - they`re kinda like kicking snow about and stuff cos there`s fuck all else to do.
I see a lot of similarities between The Manics and The Stranglers - They started off with that punk edge and then throughout the 90`s they kinda mellowed out into a more melodic pop phase. Their song writing is very clever as well.
Cheers
Jim

I remember watching the Manics first ever appearance on TOTP's and thinking it was the most outrageous thing I'd ever seen! "You Love Us". Still got it on video from that first night (can't remember the year - 1990?). The lead singer has his shirt off with the song title written across his belly in lipstick if I recall correctly. It was pretty rough and ready stuff for the time and you're quite right how they've matured/mellowed out a bit like The Stranglers did. Never gotten into the Manics but that first appearance musta made an impression on me at the time otherwise I wouldn't have started the tape running when they came on telly.
If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Don't worry Jim, we are. Our tickets are still valid.
The new album is a bit of a grower, also looking forward to some Holy Bible treats (is it really 10 years !).

Manics Glasgow gig was last night. Excellent as usual. Great to hear 5 tracks from Holy Bible. This is Yesterdat (electric) was a highlight along with Design For Life.
James said they'd be back in Glasgow in April. Looking forward to it.
Spotted an old 1981 Meninblack t-shirt @ the gig.
