Hawkwind are probably THE band I intend to discover for myself in the new year. The soundbites I have heard over the years have been enticing so I plan to spend some dosh on their back catologue as soon as....

Can you recommend the good, faster and more psychedelic stuff BR?
If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Try live at Stonehenge 84/and Zones they are a double cd which are both well worth a go.Also try Chronicles of the black sword. Also live chronicles is well worth checking out.The stuff they have been knocking out the last few years is not really up my street a bit ravey from me.

Thanks for that info BR, much appreciated.

What is the best album Lemmy played on, live, compilation or otherwise? I'd love a copy of Hawkwinds version of Motorhead and the track that sounded like 'peasant In The Big Shitty'.

Cheers...

Space ritual which was a live album from 74 which was recorded at the Lpool boxing stadium. The live Motorhead track could of come off a live 12inch Called the Green Fiend Demon .Me thinks.

Greasy? That's half the point! But no, but yeah, oh fuck, I sound like Vicky Pollard.....

Good Motorhead is basically rock and roll speeded up with double kick drums and shouting. It don't walwyas work when you're clean sober and in reflective artistic mood but when you're steaming your tits off at 2am with a fag hanging out ya gob it comes into it's own genre.

It's fast, it's hard, it's loud and it's better than any other so called heavy metal out there. Hate all the other tosch that is metal - bleughh! - Motorhead however is class in a distinctly non classy way.
