i researched this last year but no one was interested, only now with the new film has there been some interest unfortunately they have played down the effects.in the past this has happened on a regular basis , the same as the poles shifting as the magnetic imprint is left in the rocks. scientists have proven that the pole has shifted literaly hundreds of times it's due one now, strange days indeed see professor charles hapgood's book the path of the pole backed up by Einstein. this is what would happen if the gulf stream stopped
AT PRESENT THE UK ENJOYS MILD WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR ITS NORTHERLY LATITUDE .WE ARE AS FAR NORTH AS LABRADOR IN CANADA. THE ONE THING WHICH ENABLES THE UK TO ENJOY THIS WARMER WEATHER IS THE OCEANIC CONVEYOR BELT. (GULF STREAM)
THE CONYEYOR BELT MAKES THE CLIMATE OF NORTH WEST EUROPE 8 DEGREES CENTIGRADE HIGHER THAN IT SHOULD BE AT ITS NORTHERLY LATITUDE.THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING ARE KICKING IN, FLOODS AND HIGHER RAIN FALL, THE ICE CAPS MELTING AT A INCREDIBLE RATE.A BIG INCREASE IN HURRICANES.ALPINE GLASIERS SHRINKING..
AS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WANT A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING SO WE PAY THE PRICE. AS WE INCREASE THE CAUSES OF GLOBAL WARMING BY PRODUCING MORE GOODS ETC.
THE CONVEYOR BELT WORKS BY TRANSPORTING THE WARM WATER FROM THE PACIFIC THROUGH THE INDIAN OCEAN INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC THE WARM WATER WHICH TURNS VERY SALTY DUE TO EVAPOURATION DURING ITS JOURNEY MEETS WITH THE COLD WATER FROM THE NORTH.THE WARM WATER COOLS AND SINKS DUE TO ITS GREATER DENSITY.THE BELT THEN GOES DOWN THE BOTTOM OF THE ATLANTIC BACK TO THE INDIAN AND PACIFIC OCEANS.BEING WARMED UP AS IT RETURNS TO THE UK.THE BELT IS SPEEDING UP AS IT HEADS FOR THE UK SO WARMING THE ATMOSPHERE EVEN MORE THE RESULT OF THIS IS THE NORTH POLE MELTING LOSING 40 % OF ITS THICKNESS AND 4% SURFACE AREA A YEAR COMBINED WITH GREENLAND LOSING 12 CUBIC MILES OF ICE A YEAR THIS ACCOUNTS FOR 7% RISE IN SEA LEVELS, THIS FRESH WATER FLOWS INTO THE CONVEYOR BELT SO AFFECTING THE SALINITY OF THE WATER ADDED TO THIS MORE RAINWATER MAKING THE SURFACE LESS SALTY. THE EFFECT IS THE BELT WOULD SINK LESS CAUSING THE STRENGTH OF THE BELT TO DECREASE.THE FLOW OF THE GULF STREAM PAST SCOTLAND HAS SLOWED BY 20% AND IS SLOWING FURTHER BY 2 TO 4% PER YEAR.
THE MAJOR CONSEQUENCE OF THIS IS A SUDDEN WEAKENING OR STOPPAGE OF THE BELT. THE TEMPRATURE WOULD DROP BY 8 DEGREES CENTIGRADE.THE EFFECTS WE ARE SEEING NOW ARE CHANGES IN TEMPRATURE, RAINFALL, WIND AND STORMS.LAST WINTER BEING AN EXAMPLE IN THE UK WITH EXTREME FLOODING.
A SUDDEN DROP IN TEMPRATURE WOULD HAVE DIRE EFFECTS ON THE ECO-SYSTEMS AND ECONOMY. WE AS A NATION WOULD SUFFER WAY BEYOND ANYTHING IMAGINABLE. AS ICE CORE RECORDS HAVE BACKED UP THIS SENARIO IN THE PAST , WHEN THERE HAS BEEN A SUDDEN DROP OF 7-8 DEGREES CENTIGRADE.
IF THE ICE CAPS CONTINUE TO MELT AS THEY ARE DOING THE IMMEDIATE EFFECT WILL BE A RISE IN THE SEA LEVEL .THE ANTARTIC IS ALSO GOING THE SAME WAY AS IN OCT 98 AN ICEBERG 1 Â½ TIMES THE SIZE OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE BROKE OFF FROM THE RONNIE ICE SHELF. IF WITH IN THE NEXT 50 YEARS THE ARTIC CONTINUES TO SHRINK THEN THERE WILL BE A SUDDEN RISE IN SEA LEVELS OF 4 TO 6 METRES OR 13 TO 21 FT .IF THE GREENLAND ICE CAPS MELTS THE SEA LEVEL WOULD RISE A FEW MORE METERS PLUNGING ANY LOW LYING AREAS IN THE UK UNDER THE SEA THE MAP OF THE UK WOULD BE UNRECONASABLE. MOST OF LINCOLNSHIRE WOULD SIMPLY DISAPPEAR.THE FENLANDS WOULD BE SWALLOWED UP .THE UPPER PART OF LINCOLN WOULD SURVIVE THE LOWER PART OF LINCOLN WOULD DISAPPEAR UNDER THE ADVANCING SEA.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP THIS? CUT DOWN ON FUEL EMISSIONS WE HAVE TO HAVE CLEANER FORMS OF ENERGY THAN FOSSIL FUELS
BUT THERE APPEARS TO BE NO WILL TO CHANGE THIS, IN THE RIGHT QUARTERS .WE HAVE POSSIBLY TEN YEARS IN WHICH TO CHANGE OUR BAD HABITS BEYOND THIS THERE WILL BE NO TURNING BACK.EVEN IF WE DO CHANGE THE CLIMATE HAS PERHAPS BEEN DAMAGED TOO MUCH ALREADY.
SO IN EFFECT WE COULD ONLY SLOW DOWN THE COMING MINI ICE AGE.
THE TIME PERIOD IS ESTIMATED TO BE BETWEEN 30 AND 100 YEARS WHEN THE BELT MIGHT STOP AND PLUNGE US INTO CHAOS.
THIS WINTER WILL SEES THE CONTINUATION OF FLOODING AND STRANGE WEATHER PATTERN’S WE HAVE BEEN SEEING IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE RATE OF WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO EXCELLERATE. ONLY WHEN PEOPLE ARE DIRECTLY AFFECTED WILL THEY DEMAND ACTION FOR MOST WILL NOT CARE UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. IF WE ACT NOW THERE IS HOPE FOR MANKIND.

Helgy, bit of a thesis that...perhaps a tad more focus...let me guess you were either pissed or stoned...judging by the hyperness of it...my guess is coke or speedballs.
Shame about lincolnshire and its impending doom though, remind me to phone my granny before she drowns !

none of the afore mention, got all the info from scientfic web sites , that was last year so it might have got better uummm let me see no it's getting worse. so buy your woolies and stock up on tinned food about 10 years worth.

i know for a fact what ever we do does not matter , as through out history mankind has been erased from the planet,to spring up again and again ie the flood stories from every culture around the world . the scientific evidence to back this up is all the mammoths , saber tooth tigers , mastadons , were picked up and dumped into Siberia ,some with food still in their mouths , which means they had an instant death then frozen in the perma frost. the russians had an autopsy on a few of them and the result from that was that they all drowned . picked up torn limb from limb.
an old train of thought goes that nothing is new only rediscovered. mankind has been around for a lot longer than we are taught. there has been geological evidence of human footprints being wearing sandals in rock strata 200 million years old.
