Main dealer (part alone) = £700 + vat + fitting (hours unknown) Ha ha ha ha..!
Garage up the road = £408 inc vat (pattern part) + fitting (two hours) Ho ho ho..!
2nd Garage up road = £174 inc vat (pattern part) inc fitting (half hour) + replacement of stop light bulb and test drive. Yee Hah!
Which one do you think I went to yesterday? Bit of a difference, eh? Once I'd got it done I went back to the 1st Garage (who I've used since 1998) and filled them in. Cheeky cnuts.

I had something similar the other day - I asked a sparky to come and check our electrical equipment at work. 1 company quoted me £120 per item!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whilst another one quoted me a more acceptable £4 per item. Ooo just a bit of difference then.
I dunno Crass we`ll be talking about the price of fish next !
