Best singles ever (including Stranglers/Hugh)

Post by jason »

I think one of my all time favourite singles is Design for life by the Manic Street Preachers. I heard it on the radio in the car the other day and it still sounded brilliant after all these years.

Another magical single for me was Skin Deep. That sounded so good on the radio back in 1984. It was constantly played by Radio One.

What are your favourite singles ever released?

In roughly the order I remember them (as a young child through 12th grader)

Buck's Fizz Land of Make Believe
Adam Ant Stand and Deliver
Billy Joel Uptown Girl
Boy George Karma Chameleon
Bananarama Love in the First Degree
Bangles Walk like an Egyptian
Petshop Boys Always on my Mind
Proclaimers 500 Miles
Ace of Base The Sign
Petshop Boys Go West

Did not include any Stranglers singles, as I would have to put them all. Except maybe La Folie. That was ugh subject matter and too slow and boring.

Seriously!!!! Is that right? Ugh ugh ugh. Maybe that is a question to ask him in those q and a sessions, why did he feel he needed to compete with that writhing rude word singing maniac? His songs were banned in my school district and rightly so. Yuck.
