Motors

Post by theraven1979 »

What's everyone driving these days? My 2009 Fiat Panda worth about £200 just cost £700 to get through it's MOT so time for an upgrade

As you can guess I don't get too excited by cars.

 Ah that's a shame you could have had my VW EOS for 300 quid! It did have a leaky roof and a few other issues though! Ive now got a Peugeot 3008 and love it!

2000 Audi TT. Every time it's been for an MOT in the last few years I've been bracing myself for bad news, but it seems to keep going, almost at 207k miles now. I still have the classics, too.

Always been a small car fan. Biggest I had was a C4 years ago. Got a massive Kia (forget the model) for a hire car once and it was like driving a tank. I actually bumped it. I'll slung it into a parking space in the city that I used to use and was confused when I bounced it off a bollard

Most fun drive I had was in a Smart 4x4 years ago. It was like driving a go-cart.

Wow that's a lot of miles. My EOS had done nearly 120k and I thought that was quite high!

My previous daily was another Audi, a coupe, that got to 272k before it went off the road. I'm three quarters through restoring it to go back on the road at some point, it becomes VED exempt in a few days.

My VW EOS roof is stuck up, it leaks so the passage seat is always damp, and has an oil leak, but it has a full tank, so it technically going up in value by the day.

Good one! My glove compartment on my VW EOS literally filled up with water whenever it rained in the end before I sold it! Nice car though.

What are the gas prices in the UK now? We're over $4/gal

Maybe everyone should just get e bikes.

Yeah was reading that on the news - Apparently, Americans are now starting to feel the pinch and Trump's popularity is now declining as it's starting to affect his voters. In the UK it's gone up not like massively but I guess 10p-20p extra and to be fair it's rising.

Presuming that is US Gallons = 3.76 litres

That works out about $1.06 per litre

We are $1.90-$2.00 / litres

You still got it easy !
