Taylor Swift,the new Messiah?

Post by Greatkudu »

Ok I know Taylor Swift is not my demographic obviously, and even if I don't like the music,I admire the talent, but with Swift I'm just mystified, earlier I listened to a song called not getting back together or something similar, and I have never heard just puerile shit in my whole life, her fans worship her like the new Messiah, she certainly makes alot of money, but I find it very sad that people actually want to spend hundreds and sometimes thousands going to see her,her concert at Wembley Stadium last night had Sir Kier Starmer attending,I rest my case, thank God for decent artists still,I will not be exchanging Any friendship bracelets anytime soon.Major Swift.😂

Mr Major Swift ,I will put money on the fact that people our age now back in 1977 said something similar or even worse about The Stranglers.
We are not meant to understand it, we are the wrong generation and too old.
Music continues to stir lots of emotions in me still today good or bad and sometimes leaves me completely baffled even with the Stranglers of today. That's the beauty of music though for all its diversity it would be boring if we were all the same.

It seems to be driven by the sentiment of the lyrics and the 'belonging,' of a large gig.
I note the music biz are still reluctant to push that K pop stuff despite it selling so well.

Never understood why there's such venom towards the likes of Taylor Swift and her contemporaries. She's aimed at teenage girls. Get on with your day.

Well there's quite a few reasons why I dislike her, where do I start? Her music is absolutely shit, she exploits gullible children with extortionate ticket prices, she has no class, she's a bad role model for children,ie brakes up with boyfriends then writes unpleasant songs about them,if that's a good role model I'm Genghis Khan,we have always had these crass American bubble gum pop people, but she takes it to a new level,it's like a cult,I actually listened to one of her songs the other day and I have never heard such shit in all my life,I'm just mystified by how children worship a false crass idol, just my observations,I don't spend much time thinking about this, but I'm forced to say something,as you can't get away from hearing about her and her money grabbing tour.Major Swift.😕

Sorry to hit people with some facts but it's not the kids any more, time has passed and they grew up.
Her first hit was about 15 years ago now.
Very very few of the kids I work with like Taylor Swift, it's much more women in their mid-20s to early 30s as far as I can tell.

Yes you may be right, but her demographic is mostly women, who seem to enjoy songs about Swift slagging off her long line of ex boyfriends,a harpies who I work with is a huge Swiftie, and she's plus 30,she payed hundreds of pounds to watch dancing,I did watch a clip of her current tour and you don't see any musicians, she was just dancing and you could hear the vocals, thank God my girlfriend is not a Swiftie,I would never go and see her in a million years, the point I'm making is the Demigod worship of a Crass, tacky performer, don't air dirty linen in public,I don't want to know about her fucking ex boyfriends,it was good to see JJ making a jibe about her at the Caldicott Castle gig recently.Major Styles.😕
