So to begin
This Stranglers is the only Stranglers I have ever seen.
Had tickets with Dave couple years back but unfortunately He was gone before it happened.
So have seen them in Leeds and R fest.
In to last night
Absolutely brilliant night
Was seated so felt like we missed a bit of the atmosphere
Son was standing so He embraced it all
But only 25 so no problem for Him
Loved it all
Took a friend for first time. his response was blown away
Hard to pick top tracks but I’d go for
Sewer and Relentless
On train on way home. I said why didn’t we get train to Wolverhampton instead and see them again tonight ?
Anyway looking forward to Rebellion and Piece Hall
Anyone going on other dates have a blast
It’s just a Brilliant Happy night out
My only negatives would be extortionate bar prices in venue and the guy in row in front of Me that recorded almost everything
Sure you’ve got it to look at but your not in the moment

Sounded like another good night from the band.....glad you enjoyed it.
Always good to hear Relentless one of the bands best post mk1 tracks along with Time to die that has also has had an airing too on this tour, probably the bands ....best two post Hugh.
The band seems to be constant throughout this tour getting better and better as the tour progresses through and god knows how good and tight they are going to be at the very end at the RAH.
Will toiler see a return at any stage of the tour I wouldn't say there isn't room for it because I would always make room somewhere for that track....leave out GB lol
Could there be Toiler with strings at the RAH if they are to have the string section again that is we'll have to wait and see at the very end of the tour...lol
Glad you enjoyed what you saw though.

I was there, and I enjoyed it very much. I also thought about whether to have a look at going to Wolverhampton tonight, but haven't done anything about it.

I had an idea of what was going to be played, but it was nice to hear some stuff that I haven't heard for ages. If it were me, I'm not sure I'd have picked some of those songs for my 50th anniversary tour, I might have chosen them for a tour when I haven't got an anniversary or a new album to promote*. But I enjoyed the gig. Keyboards seemed a bit wonky early on (no worse then I've ever heard them, either with Toby or with Dave) but seemed to improve later on. My first gig as an O2 priority customer, which makes virtually no difference if, like me, you prefer to pop to the Gents as soon as you get in, to decrease the likelihood of going later. I was hoping the place might warm up after standing in the wind tunnel queue for ages, but it didn't.

(* I've been largely avoiding the Setlist discussion once the tour started, not just because of the bickering but also because I didn't really want to have the full set list before I get there. I see it's obviously gone into full meltdown in the last day or two so hopefully I'll get chance to have a read of it before it disappears completely. Otherwise I'd have put my comment about the set list in there).

They really seemed to have upped the budget for lights and production on this tour, whatever anyone thinks about the credibility of JJ as only original member, surely we can all agree about how good the lights and production are Major Bunter.

As always the stranglers in Manchester is always a top night Manchester has always been a stranglers stronghold . The band must be doing something right to still be selling out venues like the Apollo after 50 years. I can still remember them playing there on the raven tour with the light coming out of the ravens eye on the backdrop. Happy memories indeed

Still more than some long-standing ‘fans’.
Really glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you’ll get more opportunities going forwards
