The only god send......noise cancelling earbuds 🤣

Any examples of what was played?

Yes agreed using "Under Pressure" brillant bassline has always annoyed me too and I too have always been a massive Bowie gan who used to live near where I grew up as a kid where plenty of my mate's saw him once in the cleaners "Sketchleys" I never did ever see him,but I've Lways so highly rated and liked him and he should be in my other threads Heroes song,he deserves to be there.

Queen outstanding Freddie, baselines phenomenal and then there was Brian and Roger and their music was always commercially attractive with still a heavy feel.

I like bands and musicians who stand out as "different " so please name another like them?
There isn't one anywhere, they stand alone who have released heavy rock sings, operatic sings, funkier beat one's and then there was "Don't Stop Me Now" that is impossible not to like or toe tap and dance nuts to it,the body cannot stay still for me only anyway ...

Queen stand alone as one amazingly talented band as both musicians, singing and songwriting,
They simply have it all above any other rock band ever to me anyway.

Live Aid Queen's set simply is the best set I have ever seen and heard.
Queen get a lot of stick and yeah they were totally OTT but they were fantastic songwriters.
Love of my life, Who wants to live forever, don’t stop me now are just a few of many of my faves of theirs.
I also think We Will Rock You is totally genius, everyone knows what that song is just after one bar of that drum beat, so simple so instantly recognisable.

Always loved Brian May’s Guitar playing, you can tell it’s him from one note and that guitar built by him and his Dad from a Fireplace still sounds absolutely incredible. Also love his use of the delay pedal on the classic Brighton Rock from Queen Live Killers with its couple a seconds delay to produce those lovely guitar harmonies.
I can’t really think of any other guitar player who was doing that type of stuff back then.

Live they were probably one of the tightest bands around in their prime. Great musicians with great vocals and backing vocals too.

Likewise. Just a load posh kids doing theatrical camp music. If that's your thing then fair play

I couldn't give you any titles, but some of the artists were Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lamb of God and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
I didn't really get to song titles.....after some banter, they were unanimous that I was called an old fecker 😂

Probably not the first to mention, there’s a lot of shite songs out there, but can not think of anything that irritates me more than Robbie Williams Angels, that is some serious psychological torture
