I think its considered to be more hip and cool if you like Joy Division more as New Order was a bigger commercial success i actually like both bands.

But yeah i really like New Order too and what's more they are brilliant live

Oh yeah absolutely and if i was asked my favourite of the two its probably Joy Division as well i was just so surprised how brilliant New Order was live was really the point i wanted to make more than anything. I have never seen Joy division live obviously but without a doubt a great band.

Don't take these interviews and those short statements too seriously. I would be surprised if JJ and friends (Stranglers?) record new songs this autumn, but who knows. And, how will Toby's keyboard lines sound?
