Only after spending a couple of years writing it and honing the songs on the road, they didn't go from zero to two albums in a short space of time.

Agreed.....for both camps it ain't gonna happen,the best we will get is the fact they will at some point in the future do another and from both camps ....i really hope so but I'm not holding out much tbh.
At worst I'd take hugh's MOM as a Swan song album if it ever was it's that good for me only and the same with the Stranglers too if it's their last then they have gone out on a high as far as I'm concerned...but we all never want it quite to end hoping there will always be just that one more before they call time lol
But it's getting ever nearer and it's gonna happen at some point in the future.
In the mean time keep on going both camps...lol
