My solo album

Post by parasiteinblack »

Evening all,
You may be interested to know that I've just released a solo album using a variety of vintage and modular synth stuff with some "punk inspired" guitar over the top.
Here are some places you can listen to it...
https://mradinfinitum.bandcamp.com/albu ... ir-or-adam
https://open.spotify.com/album/6mtphs47 ... CmDohuMjuw
https://music.apple.com/gb/album/dear-s ... 1617919653
https://www.amazon.co.uk/music/player/albums/B09XC9DKDY

The most Stranglers influenced one is probably "Location TBA" if you're interested, it will probably be obvious which bit is Stranglers-inspired...
Enjoy!

Yes it's been a learning curve using the new equipment and improving my production skills a bit. Good fun to do though.

As a bit of Summer fun I have made a Mr Ad Infinitum version of the Stranglers hit "Nice In Nice".
People often complain that the snare in the Stranglers version sounds like Jet Black hitting some biscuit tins, so I have made sure to use my own tin samples for maximum effect.
Adric the cat says he is "cosplaying" as JJ Burnel (from the Nice In Nice video) in the accompanying image.

I've reduced the price of the album to £4 for Bandcamp Friday if anyone's interested. 16 tracks... Only until I wake up tomorrow morning and change it back...

I've had a burst of creativity this year and managed to make a second album. Half of it is a bit like the first album (songs with modular synth stuff, some fuzzy guitar etc) and the other half is some quite weird instrumental stuff which I think's pretty cool but other people might not...

There's a new version of Riot In the Village on there for people who enjoyed the Parasite song.
It's a bit less Stranglers-y this time but try Another, Intenso or maybe Graph Paper Shirt for the most conventional sounding songs.
Still Sleeping has some spoken lyrics similar to Dry Cleaning.
What Are You Trying To Say turned out a little bit like late 80s Swans if you like that sort of thing.

Hope you enjoy!

My new album "What Have You" is out now!
Features: the pop rock nugget that is “Quiz Night”; “The Law of Averages” featuring proper chords and lyrics; the punk-inspired (literally) “Palinopsia”; a meditative and contemplative “Anchor” for journeys across your own personal timeline; “Knock It On The Head” fusing some heavier guitar with modular bleeps and spoken word; the self-explanatory slicer-drive “The Gs Are Just Ls”; a modular waltz with vocoder all about “Photocopyin’”; wonky rave track “Fluorophore Accompaniment”; an acid track in ⅞ time called “Kaufhaus”; plus the next two modular “Tangents” in the series.
