RIP Fletch (Depeche Mode)
Just been announced on all of Depeche Mode's official social media accounts. What a headfuck.
I can't quite believe it. I mean, Dave was nearly taken out by substance abuse issues, and Martin wasn't too far off... but Fletch!?!
RIP.

Yes very sad news.
Re: RIP Fletch (Depeche Mode)
Out of the blue. i think all of DM have had demons at some point but Fletch seemed the more level-headed one. RIP.

That's no age really. Never a massive DM fan but I do have a soft spot for Construction Time Again cos I played it to death when I was young.

I don't believe he had much input to their music but he seemed like a great bloke.

Sad news.
Their riff in 'New Life' always reminded me of the riff in 'Go Buddy Go'...

Re: RIP Fletch (Depeche Mode)
Not a huge fan but the achievement of Depeche Mode is impressive in going from Teen sensations to really Dark Music, all in all a shit day yesterday the Yes Drummer and actor Ray Liotta passed, all very talented people. But any loss is sad as I'm preparing for it with my dad at the moment.Lt Kudu.
Re: RIP Fletch (Depeche Mode)
Yes I thought I was the only one who ever noticed,I'm sure they all listened to the Stranglers back in the day.New life a great song.Lt Kudu.Summer Dreamer wrote: ↑27 May 2022, 13:57 Sad news.

Is that the bit that's taken (by his own admission) almost directly from "Hey Joe"? I know some DM songs, but not all that well.Summer Dreamer wrote: ↑27 May 2022, 13:57 Their riff in 'New Life' always reminded me of the riff in 'Go Buddy Go'...
