Re: Toby interview
Whilst, I lost interest in the stranglers as a live unit some time ago, he comes over like a decent bloke, the fact he does music therapy and understands the challenges of autistic people is something that I give him a massive thumbs up for, because frankly too few people out there give a shit

I didn't know that side of him either, so it's a massive thumbs up for what he does from me too.Jake wrote: ↑04 Jun 2022, 15:04 Whilst, I lost interest in the stranglers as a live unit some time ago, he comes over like a decent bloke, the fact he does music therapy and understands the challenges of autistic people is something that I give him a massive thumbs up for, because frankly too few people out there give a shit

Re: Toby interview
Great read. When he did that YouTube tribute vid just after Dave's passing I said Toby came across as a good lad and this interview confirms it.droopsnoot wrote:Another one here: https://thestranglers.co.uk/big-shoes-t ... -interview

Re: Toby interview
And if you look carefully in that interview there is another Stranglers connection - The Drummer in The Hype is wearing a gas mask a la JetBlack!

Re: Toby interview
Great interview. Seems a top lad!
I do hope they do get the Grip sound like the original recording.
I was never a fan of the synthy sound that Dave used. Never sat right with me!

Re: Toby interview
The most interesting part of the interview for me was that Toby's favourites seem to be Raven and MiB. That's the reason I'm interested in an album with Toby. He could help deliver the type of album that I hope the band would make again before calling it a day. You do need the ambitious songs for him to shine though.
