This should turn out to be another 'interesting' 'discussion'.

Well i for one think that some of Baz's solo gigs in the past have been very good especially his acoustic ones where his vocals to a different style of song than your typical Strangles ones has been really good, just like Paul does away from the typical Stranglers ones too.
He also puts a different twang and stamp to the Stranglers ones like his acoustic Walk On By and Strange Little Girl versions from the past which have sounded really good that just shows to me how good of a vocalist he is.
As for the poster with the Stranglers front man highlighted with the rat well he is and Hugh says the former frontman too so i kind of expect that to be there it's all good Pr for him as the same for Hugh too and why shouldn't they put it on their posters they have been and currently is.... anyway should be a good gig i think even though many will disagree lol

Really enjoyed Baz solo in Doncaster a few years back. Mind you some of the regulars and bar staff at this particular venue didn't take to the swearing much. Once in a while they would put something slightly different on from the very safe (and decent) acts they normally book. I was half-involved with the venue and thought Baz was a nice change. No sense of humour some people. Great versions of some Stranglers tunes. Think he did Long Black Veil which is a quality song on an acoustic. Maybe Relentless too. He's worth seeing solo.

I accept that just as I accept "Hugh Cornwell the original Stranglers songwriter, guitarist and singer"
Dunno why it upsets some people tbh.

To be fair, he's not the only one who does that. I imagine when Hugh pulls a face while he's trying to hit a note, that's "being expressive" instead.StanInBlack wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022, 22:26 Wow, he's even got a picture of him gurning on there as well!

Exactly... that's what vocalists do pull facial expressions hitting the high notes, like to see one who doesn't lol ...droopsnoot wrote: ↑06 Apr 2022, 08:51To be fair, he's not the only one who does that. Its just Stans usual trolling .... if he's no interest in the thread why comment? I don't.
To be fair, Baz acoustic is worth going to see.

Isn't a bit weird that the moderator for this site is the main troller on here?!!!!
