Who are you seeing (other than the stranglers) this year?

Post by RetroRocket »

Now that the world is opening up again, who are you planning to see this year...other than the stranglers!?

I love these threads.. there's always a band or artist that I hadn't realised was gigging that I might quite like to see...

So for me...

Hugh Cornwell
Killing Joke (I'm especially looking forward to this communion !)
Ghost (love his tongue in cheek satanism)
La Femme
Viagra Boys
Duran Duran (not my choice lol)
The Smythes (tribute acts are not normally my thing...but it's at the 100 club which I love)
The Cure
Shades of Plato Malware album launch ( I'm the bass player so have to be there lol...not so subtle product placement ) 😄

Over to you....

I'm talking myself into going to see Hugh in March as it's fairly local and there's a train back. As for anyone else, I haven't got a decent local venue so I've got to be really sure I'm going to enjoy it before I bother.

I'm glad this record found its way into your life, it is indeed an incredible album. "Hung Up on a Dream" should appeal to the XTC fan within you 8)

Oh, turns out that Big Country are at my local Jazz and Blues Festival soon, so I might go and see them as well. I meant to last time they were there, but I messed the date up.

That reminds me to get tickets for the Chameleons. I am going to see Deep Purple as I have been given a free ticket. Haven't seen them since the Mk2 line up in the 80s so that will be interesting. Oh, I am taking my daughter and her friend to see Dayglow whoever he is?

Yup, the Viagra Boys, and La Femme!

I've seen them both before, and will definitely be one of the more 'mature' members of the audience!
