Meat Loaf

Announced this morning that Meat Loaf has passed away aged 74.

(Edited as I'd missed the fact that it's two words).

Another great goes, a huge talent, I saw a documentary few years ago, and he was such a humble man, he was meeting fans backstage and he was so genuine, it was very touching. Lt Kudu.

Never been a fan - in fact I hate Bat Out Of Hell - sounds like he was a decent chap.

Bless him. I guess you could say that he's past his sell by date!

I reckon he's been ill for quite a while. There was a performance he did in Australia a while back which was a complete car crash.

I have a friend whose a fan and seen him a few times. He says he was either great or crap live. I only saw him live once - at Knebworth. He didn't stand a chance with his leg in plaster and the audience bottling him the whole time. Thank goodness the Scorpions saved the day especially when it pissed down and a group of bikers tore down the porta loos and created bonfires out of them. I suspect festivals aren't like that these days..
