Quite slick.
I like the trumpet part but agree with the above sentiments regarding the song. I don't think it's going to become one of my favourites. Baz's vocals are the weakest element.

In terms of Kraftwerk, the track it most reminded me of rhythmically was Elektro Kardiogramm...

Nice song, with nice sentiments. Electro synth pop yes but not Kraftwerkish at all.

Would I be interested in this if it wasn't The Stranglers? Not really tbh.

I get the "hard hitting video" theme. So it's all about war and soldiers and somebody's son getting killed? Very sad but its hardly original...although this time the enemy are "martians"?

It can't be their son, she's conservatively around 78 and he's around 18. A video exploring conception in the over 60s might have been more hard hitting.

I like the song, bazs vocals are always going to be the weak point, though.
