This will have a very good chance of a high chart position upon release with all these formats and pre-orders, dare we dream of a number 1?
Will it, if everyone is buying from the merchandise store? As I filled in the form just now I wondered whether all the pre-orders we're doing here would count, or if we'd be better buying from the high street when it's released.
Pretty sure this all counts towards charts, it's a large part of the reason Keep Em Alive by the Damned was very briefly the number 1 single on pre-orders on the chart update. It's also how Sparks have had two top ten albums in the past 4 years.
The high street is an irrelevance to the charts these days.

Its good to have the buzz of a Stranglers release again. Been too long, and wasn't sure if that would happen again.
It is, I wonder if the buzz will remain for the next four months.
I wonder why they didn't choose to delay it a day, and release on September 11th? I don't know when the album chart is calculated, perhaps a Friday is better than a Saturday. Looking forward to it, anyway.
Chart day is now Friday, so Friday is the standard release day to maximise chart potential. Again, I commend the band's management or whoever for getting this all spot on.

Superb!!!! just love the easter island statues,i've always been fascinated by the island statues great move by them and a dave tribute too.I could'nt ask for anything more,i think they've got this one spot on!!!! Well done to them,so far so good just need to hear whats on it now.
Would be nice if Jet tapped a few things on it, but guess that's not going to be the case.
I think the backing vocals on Giants (particularly the title track ) were over produced. Hopefully Dave laid down his vocals before he parted, as I'm not sure how they will sound without!

Wasn't Anger going to be on the album?
Unfortunately not, but who knows maybe it didn't fit to the rest. JJ once said it's the heaviest track they have ever recorded. So at least it has been recorded and there is hope it will be released one day.
Some other tracks they have written past Dave which JJ has mentioned in recent interviews aren't on the album either. I would have preferred that the cover This Song is not on the album but a b-side of a single. Instead of This Song another self composed song on the new album...
