Ramones ?

Brill Building!
Military brats!
Male prostitution!
OCD!

Absolute genius. They're like Abba, how can you not like them?

I wonder how many, like me, were first introduced to their music via It's Alive the double live album that has almost every song that's on the first three studio albums.

It's a bit annoying that they're best known by the general public for (IMHO) two pretty crummy songs.

Baby I Love You
Sheena Is a Punk Rocker

After that maybe Blitzkrieg Bop. But they've loads of great songs especially on the first five albums.

I really can't understand anyone who wouldn't like the Ramones,I think some Stranglers fans are a bit prejudice,as the Dingwalls non event had the Ramones on the Clash and Pistols side, but years later Hugh played the annual Joey Ramone bash in the States.Major Kudu.

I just find them tuneless, one sided and moronic. I think your average stranglers fan is a bit more multi dimensional.

That said, I don't mind some of their stuff

Some of their 80s stuff is great and rather neglected.
More sophisticated songwriting and arrangements.
Just a wonderful , wonderful band.
