I haven't really got into or heard all of his back catalogue yet but I do like a lot of his tracks. I also haven't heard all of the Smiths albums. I only really know the hits. I need to explore a bit more!

I doubt it as the official party line is that he's a far right extremist.

Is this true? I love his music (with the Smiths and solo) and I understood he made old fashioned nationalist statements but is he really a right wing extremist?

No - of course he isn't but that's what some would have you believe - I seen many old Smiths fans denounce him "I was always about Marr...."
