Re: Killing Joke
Does anyone know what the ticket prices were for the Royal Albert Hall?
I know it's sold out I was just wondering if KJ were part of the recent trend of charging pretty outrageous prices.

Re: Killing Joke
Tickets are £39 at the moment
I don't know if that is a lot or not really considering the venue and the fact that bands only make money from gigs and merch these days
Hard to say.
I think it represents good value when compared to going to see some people's favourite football team.

It all depends where you are seated at the RAH. I paid £60 for a seat immediately behind the standing area. I think it's cheaper up in the gods.
But....its a great venue, full of atmosphere and history, far better than any arena in my view
Re: Killing Joke
Yes sound can be a bit iffy for Rock though, really designed for Classical but still worth Money, KJ such a tight band live, would love to see them.Lt Kudu.RetroRocket wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 13:27Greatkudu wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 12:58Yes I would say good value,Venue would be a fortune to hire etc,KJ worth it definitely.Lt Kudu.jetblacksdad wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 12:08 Tickets are £39 at the moment

Re: Killing Joke
Anybody here go to the 97 gig with the female string orchestra? The sound is obviously good on the cd/DVD, what was it like in the crowd?

Re: Killing Joke
I was there but up in the gods. The sound wasn't great up there tbh.
I've seen Iggy Pop and Ghost there...both times the sound was really great....really clear
However, the Horrors were really muddy!
Hard to say what KJ might sound like there....will probably be fine if they keep the volume down!
Re: Killing Joke
Got my ticket for this the day they went on sale, already a contender for best gig of 2023.
Been to the RAH a couple of times for gigs - Stranglers and Buzzcocks/Skids/Penetration, sound to me was fantastic.

Re: Killing Joke
Even 2023 is doubtful for a new KJ album. Lot's on going though.

Re: Killing Joke
It was great at the time, the recording was flat as a witches tit for me.
