Never thought I'd live to see a British Tour de France winner, a mens British Wimbledon champion and Manchester City winning the league.

Fantastic match and a well deserved victory for Murray. Can't understand why many English folk hate him, then again they have a tendency to worship losers.

The United Kingdom is a Political Union(2 acts from England & Scotland 1706/7).
Murray represents no political party that I'm aware of???
He is Scottish, which forms part of Great Britain under The Union of Crowns(1603)
Therefore he represents Great Britain, and will continue to do so for years to come(someones got to win Wimbledon for you
), even after Scotland gets Political Independence by the dissolution of the Political Union.
Australia, Canada and a whole cast of Commonwealth Countries still have The Queen as their Monarch and have populations with
Dual Nationality(see English Cricket squad for details) after they gained the same political Independence.
