Good choices, I always had a soft spot for Siouxsie Sioux... In the Summer of 1977... I was living with my parents in Bromley... because of 'The Bromley Contingent' the Banshees had a large 'local Bromley Punk scene following, and Hong Kong Garden was a top tune... albeit, released a year after the Summer of Punk... In 1978... ditto with the Clash: White Man and 1979 for the UK Subs: Warhead... ditto... my choice of the Ruts: Babylon's Burning 1979

As I was @ 11 at the time, probably The Wombles, The Wurzels and The Muppets.
"They don’t come much better than The Stranglers when performing live; there is no pretence, no hiding place, just superb music"

Liverpool Sound and Vision March 8th 2013.

Yes it was, Mr Presley, Sir! (as a released 7" single) But I thought I might get away with it  (Because, I am... of course... referring to the bands legendary, lost 1977 early demo-version of this tune!) 8)
Billy Liar

Not familiar with that one mate
But actually I too belong to the 12 club so apart from MiB and other chart bound punkers was mostly listening to Beatles and Bowie (the muppets and wombles had already 'sold out' for me by this point!).
Thank you very much
