Too many Festivals. Always the same acts as well.

tickets weren't selling I am guessing and therefore multi million fee's could not be met :?: I saw fields of the nephilim were guna play that presumably in broad daylight which would have been a bit pointless, anyway no great loss to the world of music. I predict quite a few festivals will go this way, inevitable in this economic climate I guess

Simple! Crap bill. Who would want to see a festival where the headliners are the cartoon bands Kiss & Marilyn Manson and half of Queen with an unknown singer pretending to be Freddie Mercury? Not quite the same as the 'big 4' last year.

(and before anyone says, imo you can't compare a Hugh-less Stranglers with a Freddie-less Queen! )

Some of the smaller festivals are very good now - Kendal Calling was fantastic last year. Decent ale tent, bands on stages at the right time, great atmosphere, good mix of old and young, good food stalls.
