Worst Gig EVER!

Re: Worst Gig EVER!
Either...The Cure at Manchester Apollo on the Pornography tour,Quite like them but this was seriously dull so retired to the bar.
Or...
The Damned at Manchester Uni,Probably early '80s.We were stood near the back and the sound was awful making the songs virtually unrecognisable,Although those we met after that were at the front said it was superb.
Special mention goes to the Joan Jett gig at the Manchester Apollo.Very poorly attended but those that were there were Heavy Metal types,No problem with that but when the lights went down they were climbing all over the seats etc with fuck all said from the "Security" who had been their usual overzealous selves just a few days earlier at another gig there.Oh yeah and the band were crap too !.

Same story at the Nottingham Rock City date a few days before. One of the worst gigs I've ever shelled out for.Toiler On The Sea wrote:Easy peasy, Saturday 8th April 2006 Killing Joke @ Glasgow ABC Hossanas tour. Dreadful sound.
Once fell alseep during a Bauhaus gig which I think pretty much sums up what I felt about their performance that night.

In the early 80´s, when in London, we went to visit the Hope & Anchor in Islington (just to see the place).
It was i gig going on in the famous cellar, a reggae band called "Urban Shakedown". Absolutely crap they were.
Right venue - wrong band I guess...

Last September, Mallory Park: Bumford And Sons. Started badly, never really got going and then tailed off form there. Utter diddly diddly shit from start to finish.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.
Re: Worst Gig EVER!
Thankfully I stayed at the bar area while they were and and made my way down to the front just as they finished.ravenlunatic wrote:Last September, Mallory Park: Bumford And Sons. Started badly, never really got going and then tailed off form there. Utter diddly diddly shit from start to finish.

I once fell asleep at a Peter Tosh gig...god it was painfully boring! Rocked me right off to DOZE mode.ThruBeingCool wrote:Same story at the Nottingham Rock City date a few days before. 'get this shite over and get the good band on'...I still laugh at the reaction of Miss Trendy in front of me as she heard me say that to my mate. It was one of these faces.ravenlunatic wrote:Last September, Mallory Park: Bumford And Sons. Started badly, never really got going and then tailed off form there. A truly terrible band followed by people who can only be politely described as a right bunch of CNUTSravenlunatic wrote:Last September, Mallory Park: Bumford And Sons. Started badly, never really got going and then tailed off form there. Utter diddly diddly shit from start to finish.
