Scottish comedies - how are they perceived down South?
Mention of Chewing the Fat in a recent post had me wondering what English viewers made of Scottish comedy shows such as CTF, Still Game and Rab C Nesbitt etc. Were they amusing? Required Subtitles?
On the whole, I'd say Scots enjoyed these shows - but I wonder how they were perceived down South?

I have showed Chewin' The Fat to a few English friends here and they quite liked it. Didn't get some of the stuff though like the "gonnae no dae that" bloke. That's the only program really I could say about
They’ve been cooking on Blue Peter
Now they’re sampling the dishes
“I don’t normally like tomatoes, John
But this is delicious”

There's a great tradition of Scottish comedians. I always enjoy Scottish humour, I mean its funny just as soon as they start speaking innit?

I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.
