Today, I'ave mostly been singing/whistling/humming..........
slipping discreetly under the radar......
Well, yesterday actually. Being the itinerant singer/whistler/hummer that I am, I often find myself doing all three, all day, as I struggle to rid my mind of the unexpected tune that has quite liderally popped into my head for, apparently, no reason at all. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad. Always, after a good few hours, I wish they'd pop the feck off back out of my mind so's I could concentrate on summat else!
Anyway, Yesterday it was, 'Safe as Houses' by SLF......

........Cracking tune that it is, even I was getting a might sick of it after singing/whistling and humming it all the way from Norwich to Liverpool St. and back again.
And you...........................?

Stuck it in 'other bands' because, of course, it goes without saying.................I mostly sing/whistle/hum Stranglers' dittys and thought it would be good for the thread if we didn't mention any.

Good idea Yellowcake...ths could be a never ending thread.
For me my tune of the morning as I came into work was Can't Stand Me Now by The Libertines. A wonderful pop song.

One of the great SLF tracks but sadly not done live very often (as Jake Burns has said 'It's a bugger to sing'!)
Seen them do it live at Gosport 1995 when a certain other band where headlining.

When I saw SLF live at the Barras last year - Jake mentioned that he was in bed one day and he heard a tapping at the window - Window cleaner was washing his window and whistling "Listen"

Yesterday afternoon Spizz phoned me from Gatwick to say after the Milan gig he's had Always The Sun in his head. For me - the last two nights it's been Won't Get Fooled Again and 5.15 (from Live in Boston DVD)
