The Allied Arms looks the best. Being near the venue (couple of mins walk).

Re: Reading Hexagon
The allied Arms (if I remember walking past) is only a few mins from the Hexagon.
Details are here:-
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ ... ms/Reading
and a map:-

I hope to be in there between 5 & 6.
Look forward to meeting anyone.

Re: Reading Hexagon
I live in Reading, could've suggested a few places that are better than the allied, but if it's decided then best to go with this. Anyone else up for a few beers beforehand?

Hah! thats easy for you to say, but I've just spent the last 7 hours carving all this into a peice of granite.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

i'll aim for the "arms" but will struggle to be there before 8pm.i will try and recognise some faces from the pictures on here as i've not met anyone on here before although it will probably be just putting names to well known faces in the crowd that i have seen over many many years...can't wait, even though i have a streaming manflu/close to death thing going on at the moment
