Clash Tribute
Thanks to JJB I play bass in a Clash Tribute. I'd love to play in a Glasgow-based Stranglers trib but can't find any good keyboard players!! If you know of any.......
Anyway, check out our web site. We've got video from supporting Stiff Little Fingers at the Barrowlands. We also supported the Stranglers at the Rats Rally a few years ago.

Cheers all,
Mick.
PS FMH were easily the best Stranglers trib out there. I saw them a few times in Glasgow - we were even planning to play together at some point, then they died. Real shame. RIP FMH.
I played with the No More Heroes mob in the QM once. They were quite good.

CombatRock- seen you'ze at McCuills-a crackin live band.
A regular Glasgow Stranglers would be awsome though. My mate Tam had a Joy Division band going around Glasgow for a while, and I always harboured plans for starting up a Velvets tribute band (was always surprsed no one ever did one) but no one wanted to be Mo Tucker!

You're spot on about 4MH - they might get back together this year.
Jim
Any chance you could do some gigs around Glos/Bristol?

Strummercamp
We're playing at the Strummercamp in May - last weekend (bank holiday). It should be a good gig. There's a number of excellent bands playing plus there are a few more yet to be announced.
We're arranging buses from the Glasgow/Edinburgh areas - contact me if you're interested.
Re Bristol/Glos - I think there is already a Clash trib round those parts. If you can recommend a good venue let me know.
I went to the Hugh Cornwell gig last night in Glasgow. Excellent night. The old boy's still got it. He did a Q&A session before singing. Someone asked if he'd met Paul Roberts. Apparently they met, very briefly, at a Madonna party in London. They shook hands and Paul left. Hugh said he 'looked a bit scared'!!
He ran thru Duchess, Tramp, Golden Brown (he forgot the second verse!), NMH, Goodbye Toulouse plus a range of hisown solo stuff. Excellent night had by all. He seemed to enjoy it too except he looked very apprehensive when a young nubile threw herself at him. Not like the old days, eh Hugh!!!!
