I got into them during lockdown. I was surprised how much I enjoyed their albums (up to and including Bend Sinister - I don't like them after that ) Despite being from Manchester and buying records since 1978 I always kept them at arm's length.
There is dross throughout the catalogue though and I still resent that they were Peel and music press darlings when the Chameleons weren't.
Last time I came here a friend of mine just got triple-jacked over a steeplehammer and jessop jessop jessop jessop jessop
