They were on Later with Jools last night performing their two latest singles and gave a short interview. The new single is sung by Nicky Wire and it's probably better than the previous one imo.

Better than the previous one but the 2 songs so far have left me feeling meh - The problem I have is that the songs all sound like music for daytime TV programmes. Dunno what it is maybe the plinky plonk pianos and stuff.

what happened to the band that sang Masses Against The Classes?

They started out as a bunch of sloganeering gobshites who wanted to change the world.

This new stuff is pipe n slippers

Yes, it would but there should be a spark there and I just don't see it any more. This is really lame. They have written some great songs that are powerful and uplifting but this is limp!

I've got to say I really like this Hiding in plain sight single. Yes it's very commercial sounding but it's a great single imo.
