Anyone go?
I caught bits of it on the telly - No band that interested me to be honest and any that were were on the smaller stages (I think Undertones played). But I saw New Order, Coldplay *spits*, the Bravery and a few others and I`m not sure whether it`s that outdoor sound or what but fuckin hell this bands were all shite live - Terrible - awful singing mainly
What did everyone else think?

Saw some of it on BBC2 & 3 - found myself watching less than previous years, as the line-up didn't look as good as previous years. New Order were ropey, Garbage were pretty dull really, The Killers were ok I suppose, Roisin Murphy was a bit mad, Coldplay & Basement Jaxx don't rock my boat, so blanked em.

lauren laverne has an uncanny knack of always looking like shes just had a glue sniffing session. but yeah shes canny nice.
New Orders set on tele was diabolical, temptation went on for ages with the same riff and hooky cared more about pulling faces at the crowd than providing solid bassmanship.
And love will tear us apart without curtis' vocals shouldnt be attempted.
Brian wilson's set was cool though.

I thought that New Order were bang on form.
Having seen them numerous times and conversed with them prior to a gig in The Barrowlands years ago, if your looking for musical perfection, you'd be better staying at home playing their cds than going to see them live.
Do they rehearse? Who knows!
I think that they probably did years ago and now they just turn up and play it from memory, however good or bad that memory is.
They make mistakes, play out of tune etc... but still play 'live'.

From what I saw of the main acts The Zutons impressed me most. Love that barefooted chick on the sax especially....
Saw most of the others but the one band that I did like (mainly cuz I was pissed by this point) was Hayseed Dixie doing a cover of Ace of Spades in the BBC studio. Never been a country music banjo strumming lover by any stretch of the imagination whatsoever but they had me bopping about my living room.

If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.
