Elton john was good in that he's a good showman, and has lots of well known songs the audience could sing along with. His vocals were dreadful, though.

Turns out guns n roses dont have that many well known songs to get the audience involved. I thought the set dragged.

Artic monkeys are always hit or miss.

I liked churches and QotSA.

Both Elton and Debbie Harry are mid -late 70s age.
Given that, they did very well I think.

I thought Elton's voice sounded better than it has for a few years,as for Debbie she gives it 💯 but the Octaves have lowered dramatically.Major Kudu

I guess there's something a little ironic (don't you think?) about Slash pictured walking around in a Damned T shirt at Glastonbury whilst GnR headline with 140mins on bbc whilst the damned don't get a sniff of it

Was in Rome the other week and saw a lot of Guns n Rose's fans around. Turns out that they were playing on the ancient chariot racing grounds. So we went down and watched them over the fence (you couldn't do this in blighty), in 80F in the evening. Good atmosphere, Slash can still play (a bit too much), Axl's vocals well ropey. Best song Iggy's TV Eye sung by the bassist.
I previously saw them on the Use Your Illusion tour - they were 3 hours late and we went home early, knackered. Mind you at least we hot to see Faith No More - a much better band.
