A couple of albums by Interpol Pioneer to the fall and antics. I saw them in Liverpool last weekend and very good to. Can’t remember the last time I saw a venue as packed as that

DC the other night, l had totally forgot that Its A Long Way To The Top...was on there, best use of the bagpipes in a rock song, ever. Until Big Country anyhoo. I've had the titular track stuck in my head ever since (especially the demonic backing vocals) and TNT is a stone cold classic in this house, let me tell you, probably the closest they got to punk. Speaking of which l watched a YouTube clip of them, back in the Bon Scott days, telling of getting disrespect one night from the Stranglers, when they were supporting them, something about having long hair. Suffice to say, in the AC/DC version of the tale they blew the punk headliners off the stage that night

Chic's Greatest Hits, vinyl version arrived today, a stone cold classic. It reminds me of my love of dub reggae, what with the melodic, evolving bass lines and extended mixes. I remember kinda thinking ld nailed the bass line to Good Times, but on re-listening to Bernard again, l was nowhere funking near it
