Been to every one of these since they started in 2011 but sadly this is the last one. So who did I see....
Drahla - 3rd time I think seeing these and they never disappoint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsdBVsR4qFE
Jellyskin - Bit of a curveball punt as I'd not heard much from them. They were a little wet behind the ears (which added to the charm) but I reckon they could be the UK's answer to Sleigh Bells https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v5QxoRvVB8
At this point there was a break for tea and sandwiches. Light ales were also consumed where I bumped into old forums regular McCardigan who was a pleasure to meet and was well on his way to being very "refreshed".
Bdrmm - I was disappointed if I'm honest. Shame cos they are pretty good on record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr5-ZUS4u9s
The Orielles - Never really liked these when they first appeared on 6Music and the like but their last couple of albums are very experimental and I like a lot. They put in a sterling performance. The guitarist is some sort of wizard even capturing his guitar licks onto a sampler then whizzing them through some sort of keyboard thing to spin them up and slow down at will. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtEZyhfKZhY
Thank Only caught the last half of their set but it was very "in your face" and nice and loud. Think Yard Act but for big boys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dh2W2Cpfq8
Membranes - Another forums regular and talking head John Robb's Membranes end the festival for us and it's a great ending. Sounding on form and with added goth lady? dressed head to toe in black veils throwing shapes on the stage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdX9AQgDDwc
Missed out on Lovely Eggs and Arab Strap on account of having to get the train home now I live in the arse end of Leeds. Shame that's the last one as they always had a decent lineup for not too much money.
