I thought they did tours in November? That said, I thought they'd said they'd do no more tours!Cells&Plasma wrote:

No more big tours (of medium sized venues). This is a medium sized tour (of bigger venues). Completely different. Do you see?

To be fair there are a couple of bigger ones - Bristol Beacon is a bit bigger than the O2 round the corner, although it’s an all-seated venue. Haven’t seen them play there for 20+ years. And there’s the RAH, although I guess that almost counts as one of their usual haunts!
I said to myself I wouldn’t see them again after the (very enjoyable but not very authentic) Dark Matters tour, but the blurb makes it sound potentially interesting. Playing two sets covering 50 years at least leaves open the chance they might play a few interesting tracks.

I won't be there but look forward to the reviews etc. I wonder if Hugh will do something next year.Bogenbroom wrote:Sorry - sarcasm doesn’t always translate very well!theraven1979 wrote: ↑15 May 2023, 17:33Tenuous at best. Re: So!..who is going where on the 2024 mini tour?
Slightly off thread on this point well it's well off thread but I didn't want to start a new topic over it but I was watching JJ playing in a youtube clip off YouTube to ...Summat outanowt @ the Brighton Dome in March 2014 and his playing and the solo in it was simply stunning and it reminded me how good this song how good Suite is ...it was mind blowing stuff, the double song clip then went into to peasant just an amazing double live track and it got me thinking post Hugh is that one of his best solo work of about 30 seconds it was the nearest thing he's done since The Genetix days even though that solo stands out alone for me tbh but this solo is up there though even though i could be wrong there might be alot more than I can remember..but that song and solo and his vocals was all simply stunning what a song from an amazing album.
What's JJs best bass work post '90 for you?
Baz's best guitar work post '90 for you?
This should be a new topic really on all four members....there best work JJ,Dave,Jet,Baz post Hugh.

True, I will try to get Cambridge tickets and maybe RAH as well, although I still think it will be "weird".Bogenbroom wrote: ↑15 May 2023, 17:40 Playing two sets covering 50 years at least leaves open the chance they might play a few interesting tracks.
I'm actually just surprised they've included the MKII stuff on the little poster, I'd be very interested in seeing some of the more obscure 80s and 90s stuff in the set for this.
Edit - just checked the dates and they're in bloody term time... might just have to be Cambridge then...
