Embarrassing - like watching your grandad get up to do a turn at a wedding or something. Paramedics just out of shot.

DEVO Hardcore Live (CD & DVD) dropped through my letterbox yesterday. All I can say is this has gotta be one of the most essential purchases for DEVO fans ever. Recorded last year, this is a tribute to Bob 2 which is quite emotional at times.it has to be said. But, sentiment aside , back to the music. This set breathes new life into songs that devotees thought they were never, ever likely to hear the band perform again.

With song titles like;

Bamboo Bimbo
Fountain Of Filth
She Never Knew I was A Midget ( no comments please, ahem!)
Baby Talking Bitches......

You know you can't go wrong!

More importantly you get some of the classics which are more well known but haven't been played for years. 'Clock Out' is just so, so...I dunno...the DEVO fans on here will appreciate this.

The sound quality is perfect and although I had reservations about this set when I first read about it, it all just sounds so perfect. 75 minutes of DEVO before they were famous, back to 74' 75, 76....even before my time! And they never sounded so good..."so fresh!"

In the beginning was the end.

Nice one mate, I've just played the entire LP from that link. There isn't one song on there that I don't like.

Listening to it prompted me to get up in the loft to find the LP. The bad news is that I can't find the bloody thing :smt013

I had the picture disc version of the LP <last played by me about twenty years ago>
