I don’t want to take all the credit for organising this event so if anyone else wants to have a go, please do.
Perhaps add a few support bands and Strangler events and such like -

Cooking with Hugh & JJ
Advanced Motorbike & Car Mechanics with Baz & Toby (Changing oil & Spark plugs)
Walking with John
Dogging with Paul
Doing whatever Jim does with Jim

Could also perhaps start at 12pm. Make a day of it.

I guarantee Hugh is not in the slightest bit interested. He's never celebrated any of the other landmark milestones. And as for Paul and John, I think there's more chance of Hugh being up for it than them!

Be realistic folks the best you're gonna get is a Greatest Hits gig at perhaps a semi decent venue.

No doubt a "Greatest Greatest Hits" compilation to cash in on the occasion also.

Blimey all the different members time slots of the 50th gig lol
It ain't never gonna happen and even more sure is that it won't include Hugh he'll have no part of any formation celebration,so i think that can be put to bed and if he did which he won't then i would go after saying i won't see the Stranglers again and i'll i'd eat my hat if the main man returned for a one off but it's not and i won't be going and that's pretty much final as guesses go for me and i don't think it's even worth typing ....never say never and you never know lol
