Re: Wilko Johnson RIP
I posted something, then read another thing that cast doubt on whether it was true. If it is, it's very sad. I've enjoyed every time I've seen him play.

Was just about to post this, sad news indeed. Although at one point I was beginning to think the guy was indestructible!
Re: Wilko Johnson RIP
Yes sad news indeed. I also didn't realise he appeared in Games of Thrones.

A major loss to the world of good music, a true guitar hero and very sad news indeed.

Re: Wilko Johnson RIP
When I was 14 years old I watched Old grey whistle test and saw Wilko playing Roxette and I was bloody hooked!
Buying my Dr Feelgood album Stupidity.
Wilko was responsible for writing the majority of the Feelgood songs, with Lee Brilleaux pounding out his Howling Wolf influenced vocals!
I met the Feelgood originals back in 75/6when they supported squeeze at the Top rank Cardiff
My mother was dating a sound engineer so we had back stage passes and went on to spend the evening in a curry house in Cardiff they signed my album and I sat in awe listening to these guys who were the DNA of punk
Watching Wilko play at the convention in 2011
Then following the announcement of his cancer battle and farewell tour I saw him at a gig with Matt Brown and chatted to him after loving his positivity about playing music until his time was up - he had another 10 years to say goodbye
What a legend what a gentleman what an influence on music and a great impression on my musical taste
God bless you Wilko x
