I don't get why their first two albums are played so much. I prefer their later material from Night Time onwards.

In my incredibly limited exposure to Killing Joke I always thought the same that the older albums are better but live wise the older stuff is just more powerful IMO.

The new stuff is good but is in danger of becoming a little formulaic.
The first two albums have power and menace and this should be an amazing night!

Glad the news is out there at last!

That's me as well. I never liked KJ back in the day at all until Night Time. Bit disappointed in this.

They are classics. They set the tone for KJ. The blueprint.
But I cannot disagree that post Night Time there are some bangers. Extremities will always be HUGE for me as will Pandemonium. And I would love to hear them do BTATS era stuff as it was so much better live. The production was silly 80s nonsense.

I totally agree. As far as I am concerned “Absolute Dissent” although very raw on the recording quality, is a phenomenal album, one of the best things Killing Joke did, “MMXII” and “Pylon” are not nearly as good in my opinion, they maybe have better production but not nearly as memorable or albums I am inclined to listen to as often as “AD”, seriously one of my favourite KJ gigs.

This gig looks kind of interesting, are they planning on getting an orchestra in? 8)
