From what I've heard so far the songs have all got meaningful lyrics, unlike Giants where some songs were poor.
So even if you don't like some of them I think we can already say there has been a improvement in song writing quality.

Giants isn't a very good album and had some terrible lyrics, but in its defence not once do the words "bisted and Twitter" appear in any of its songs.

And only in a big country, for BC. Although, have big country and the undertones even released anything since the 80s?

No, I mean that Giants (particularly when looked at from the point of view as being the follow-up to Norfolk Coast and Suite XVI) is mostly a 43 minute long joke that isn't funny at all.
