The Dead Kennedys - Frankenchrist. Well, it is new to me. Still an incendiary live act; never saw them with Jello Biafra but their current singer does a more than adequate job.

Are any of the other members originals? Must check them out.
Biafra's album white people and the damage done is really good.

I've a mate who used to shout that at gigs, after the band had finished a song,
"Adequate!!"

Drunken Songs - Julian Cope
Bit of "concept album" for Julian this time, it's all about
beer, but some cracking songs on it, and a return to form,
IMHO.
RSD vinyl release.

The guitarist and bassist are the originals I think. Drummer wasn't born when Too Drunk to Fuck was in the charts.kenl wrote:Are any of the other members originals? Must check them out.

Saw the original version at Moseley civic hall around 1980/81 , quite awesome , Biafra quite an entertainer. Drongo's for Europe were support band .
All quiet ..........

I've recently got the new Charlotte Hatherley album "True Love" which is pretty groovy. Much more ethereal and synthy than her earlier stuff, evoking a Blade Runner kind of atmosphere. Recommended.
Also I've been listening through the Kraftwerk 3D Katalog thing that's come out and there's some excellent new versions of old tracks on there. The entire Autobahn album was incredibly well done for one, and multiple highlights over the next three LPs too. It's only when I got to Computerwelt that things stopped impressing me quite so much. It still sounded great, and the songs are great, but that album in particular felt like there was little added and so a little pointless to me. A shame also that Der Telefon Anruf is missing the vocals, but maybe it was "too Karl" for him
