Name the last brilliant album you bought ?
Mines Pylon by Killing Joke. It's already been discussed on here but it really is a belter. I can't think of anything released since then that I've really loved as much. What's yours?

Me And That Man- Songs of Love and Death
Heard one afternoon as i was wandering through FOPP in Glasgow's
West End, stayed in my head and bought on vinyl by the time i got to the
other FOPP in the city center. The Bad Seed backing Ian Curtis, Waitsian instruments and
near perfect Nick Cave vocals with a tiny tint of gothy Euro-ness would be my off the cuff critique.
Kate Bush- Before The Dawn
Recording of her gigs in London from a couple of years back. Heard it on MP3, stands up pretty well
I think, great versions, her voice is still magic, great choice of set list for someone who hadn't done
this sort of thing since the late '70's (Stranglers please take note). There was something like only 3
"singles" played, and all the songs were from her last 5 albums, nothing before the "classic" years before 1980.
Got it on 3 disc vinyl.
Submerged Alive- The Morlocks
A band I first heard by accident, at first I assumed they were a Nuggets style Stooges/Kinks/Louie-Louie riffed up
3 chord garage rock band from the '60's.
Turns out they're a Nuggets style Stooges/Kinks/Louie Louie riffed up 3 chord garage rock band from the '80's.
Good stuff, and I got they're album on Blue vinyl.
Lovely Creatures- Nick Cave & The Bad Seed(Best Of)
Supposed to be remastered, but I aint broke the seal on it yet. Nick and his crew doing what they do best, and
for 30 years. The CD versions got a shed load of songs on, with DVDs, books etc, but I again plumped for the
3 disc vinyl version.
Oh, and I picked this up today too.
Not played it yet, so will have to report back....

Very good thread.

Re: Name the last brilliant album you bought ?
My most recent 'brilliant' album purchases (aside from RSD 2017 re-releases)....
Girls Names - New Life
Sorta Joy Division meets Magazine (at times) - a dreamier post-punk instrumentation
Bohicas - The Making Of...
Joyous guitar thrashing slice of indie rock with a leaning towards the Nuggets/garage band reference.
Avidly awaiting the debut of Pretty Vicious though
