Bass player Application

I thought i'd share a story with you what happend to me on the internet in the last couple of days. I have been watching a few videos from this punk band on facebook called Boy from the crowd. An opportunity arose to be a bass player in the band. I said to them I play Bass. The singer of the band said to me why don't you get in contact and we will talk. They gave me their email address. So i sent them an email with a video attachment of me playing "Mercury Riseing" by the one and only Stranglers.

The singer got in contact with me and said

Hi Adam

Thank for the interest of joining my band as a bass player, and thanks for the video. Your clearly a passionate Stranglers fan keep it up. To be a bass player in our band we have a few Key questions i like to ask possible candates to come for an audition. Question

1. Have you ever been in a band before?

Me "err No" band member ok

2. Have you ever done a gig before?

Me "err No" Band member Ok

3. Have you ever been in a recording Studio before?

Me "err No" band member ok

4. Do you hold a full UK driving licence?

Me "Err no i get the 180 bus" Band member ok

Well we normally like to priortise candidates who match these points, we wont audiition you straight away,but we may get in contact with you in the future is that ok with you?
me "My bass looks like JJS"
Band member "yes thats very good"
me "So am in the band?"
Band Member "no you havent even got an audition yet"
Me "So when am i going to be in the band?"

I havent heard from them so i assume they chose some other dude. Thats another chance of rock stardom gone.
